HearMe Terms of Use

Effective date: July 26, 2026

1. Agreement

HearMe is an iOS app operated by 144 ("we", "us"). By using HearMe you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What HearMe is — and isn't

HearMe is an anonymous space to write prayers, share them publicly if you choose, and pray for others. It is a place for encouragement. It is not a medical, mental-health, counseling, or emergency service, and nothing in the app is professional advice. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services immediately.

3. Your content

Prayers you post are your content; you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display them in the app (public prayers to all users, always anonymously). You are responsible for what you post. Do not post: content that harasses, threatens, or degrades any person or group; hate speech or slurs; sexual content; spam or advertising; other people's private information; or content that is illegal where you live. A profanity filter blocks offensive language at posting time, and other users can report your content.

4. Moderation

We may remove any content and restrict any anonymous identifier that violates these terms, without notice. Reported prayers are hidden for the reporter immediately and reviewed by us. Anonymity is a shield for the vulnerable — not immunity for abuse.

5. Purchases

Optional purchases are processed by Apple under your Apple ID: Light a Candle and supporter gifts are one-time consumable purchases, and HearMe Plus is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that renews until cancelled in your device Settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Candles and gifts support the operation of HearMe; a candle is a digital gesture on a prayer, not a physical good or a donation to any third party. Praying and posting never require payment.

6. Anonymity

The app assigns your device a random anonymous identifier (see the Privacy Policy). Because there are no accounts, we cannot recover prayers if you delete the app or lose your device.

7. Availability

HearMe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any feature) at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 144's total liability arising from your use of HearMe is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which 144 is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
